Grain and Machinery Store

Objective:

To seek permission to erect an agricultural grain store with lean to machinery store, via permitted development.

Proposal:

To prepare an application for an agricultural building to be located on a previously developed area of land. The client had pre-existing concrete flooring and concrete load retaining walls to 3m high; therefore, these features would be easily incorporated into the construction of the proposed grain store.
The success of this application allowed our client to store arable crops as well as crop inputs such as seed, fertiliser, and sprays. As well as store farm machinery in the open sided lean-to building.

Local Planning Authority:

Maldon District Council

What the consultant Says

The client had a former refusal for the application and we were instructed to review the application and overcome a siting issue in the context of an adjoining listed building. Consideration in respect of the siting and design overcame the listing limitations for the client.
