Class R

Objective:

To achieve planning for the change of use of a building from agricultural to B8 commercial use. 

Proposal:

To prepare an application via general permitted development to allow progression of our client’s business, by providing an area for commercial use storage. The change of use caused a small increase in traffic to the site; however, our client had existing access on site which would be used for traffic and the size of the proposed building would limit the scale of any traffic movements.

What the consultant Says


The client was seeking re-use of a range of older agricultural buildings with a view to commercial redevelopment of the site. A well thought out Class R application enabled permitted development through a cumulative application.
